Dedicated to my Kindred Spirit- Marcia
Friends are easily won... and while they may sparkle with vibrant colors and be as loud as Fourth of July fireworks they last only as long as the blind devotion remains.
As soon as one discovers the others faults they find that perhaps they don't have that much in common after all.
Then there are those friends that are so close to each others hearts that they can tell when one is having a bad day without even being told... they are like sisters.
Kindred Spirits are even more special than the bond of sister-like friendship... it runs deeper; longer, and the very harshest flames could never put it out.
It's not that Kindred Spirits don't have difficulty... oh, they do, but they realize that their friendship is worth more than the choicest bits of amethyst, and therefore they don't let little things slip up and devour something so precious.
Kindred Spirits share the same interests, and though their dreams may differ they cheer for the other and seek to help them in their journey to fulfilling their dreams.
They are a combination of the jaunty color of friends, and the soft shimmer of sister hood, yet they are something so unique and captivating that one can only marvel...
Kindred Spirits are free, and as birds they are free to be themselves with no fear that they will be judged or brought low. They need not worry about what they wear or listen to because in heart they are identical... with one desire, to please God.
They bring out the best in each other, and they know when it's time to be silent... and just listen.
They are always there for each other and although they may be busy they are happy to listen and assure the other that they will always be there.
Kindred Spirits share times of laughter and beauty... times of sadness and heartache, and even if many miles separate them they remember with fondness the memories they've made together and cherish them forever... they don't forget each other but remain true... because Kindred Spirits are forever.
They glitter like thousands of diamonds and smell as sweet as a rose. Even the soft gurgling of a brook or the soft patter of rain can't compare.
Kindred Spirits point each other upward and remind the other that life is beautiful and that their song is Jesus.
