Of laughter

I think I will always remember these last couple days. I will remember the way the sun shone through the windows and woke us up; the way we danced until we were out of breath and the way the dogs slept at our feet. I will remember reading our favorite psalms and discussing all different subjects under the sun. I will remember playing the piano and singing as our hearts were tuned to Jesus and our eyes became fixed on Him in all His glory and love. I will remember the way Owl City's songs became imprinted on my mind because we listened to them over and over and I couldn't fall asleep without his voice floating through my mind... It won't take you long to get to where you feel like your soaring. So write it all and don't forget; you gotta tell us your story. Shout out to the friends back home, shout out to the hearts you've known. [Gold]
I will remember watching cheesy old Walt Disney movies and saying; "Okay, they are barely going to escape." and it always happened because it was just so predictable but we gasped and laughed at the all the right places because it was so cheesy it was funny. I will remember creating our own monster from a frightening painting and freaking out because the night seemed heavy and the darkness darker; it was hilariously chilling.
But I think the times I will remember the most is when we laughed. The times when we laughed because it was funny; the times we giggled because we were in a silly mood, and the times we laughed and it was raw. Real. Natural. Nothing put on or nothing taken away. Simply laughing for the joy of living and being with people you love. And I believe that there isn't a more beautiful sound than laughter.
