"I don't have to be afraid..."

I guess that is just how life is... there are days of sunshine and days of furious storms. Days when you realize just how fast things can change; days when you have to learn the process of letting go.

And yet, as I was thinking about this, a sudden thought came to mind. What if that is not the way it is supposed to be? What if, when it seems as though God has hidden His face from our cries that He is actually  right beside us, but we choose not to acknowledge it? What if, on a particularly rainy day His hand is still guiding us, but we choose to look the other way? How many blessings and smiles have we missed because we weren't paying attention to Christ? but instead focused on our problems?

Last Sunday a brother in our church shared about how his life recently had felt so out of control. Just everything... spiraling out of his control.  How often do we feel that way? I know for me, that it has felt like the last couple weeks have been a nightmare. You are just starting to recover from the previous blow, but then..... wham. you're down again. And yet what if.... what if in the midst of the storm, Jesus is holding out His hand to offer us a place of safe refuge? A place of protection from the blows... the accusations? yet we turn the other way to flounder alone a midst the waves?

If only we would reach for His hand..... because then you can surely say:

"And when the oceans rage I don't have to be afraid."

So those are my thoughts.... feel free to comment and let me know what you think!
Have a wonderful week, my friends!
