My dear friends- I know that I have not posted in a while, but... . well let's just say that I haven't really felt like it. =) that is.. until now.
Driving through the crazy (but awesome :) ) streets of Sanfrancisco, I couldn't help but feel elated. There were beautiful houses/ apartments (I know not which) that lined the streets: steep roads changed the usual hum-drum routine into an exciting nightmare (which traffic acutally did too sometimes:) ), and the people walking the streets seemed (for the most part) stressed, and in too much of a hurry. Huge skyscrapers stretch far into the sky, and it seemed that the brilliance of the green trees and green grass made the the day seem... special.. amazing. Yet amidst all this beauty, there was an underlining current of sadness. Homeless people walk along the streets pushing along carts filled with clothing, or blankets.. sometimes you will see them sitting on the sidewalk with their bundles beside them.. their faces void- empty.
Yet like in any other place: the homeless people aren't the only ones looking like they have no meaning in life. There are others too... I guess there always will be because nothing brings peace in this world: Jesus Christ is the only hope.
That God would open my eyes, and let me see these people the way He does!!!
There is so much need here- (maybe I really see it because there are so many people) and the need is for salvation.
Happy Valentines Day!

You are so right Amy! We were just in a nicer mall in Denver the other day and I had the same feeling. Most people are living without a purpose, not a care as to what they might really be here for. Then, there are some people who are in this world, hurting. They are surching for something- peace and hope. It really reminds me that we are in a dying world; a world that needs to hear and see Jesus! Thanks for the post!
